BF Question/Pumping

I need to start a supply of breastmilk for DH to feed baby when I run errands etc. How can I do this if he is eating every 3 hours?  I just tried to pump after he ate and got barely anything. How can I start doing this when feeding him so much  and then there is nothing left? Hes almost 3 mos. if that matters.Thanks!

    Just pump and save what you can get. You're not going to get much if you pump after feeding. Some mother's say if they pump while nursing they can get more, maybe you can try that.

    Does your LO sleep longer periods at night? When DD started to STTN she could only finish one side at our first morning feeding, so I would pump the entire other side. This is how my stash came to be.

    I pump about an hour after feeeding for about 10 minutes in the morning (and get 3-6 oz.), plus now that DD goes to bed at 9, DH gives her a bottle and I pump before bed (and get another 4-6 oz.).

    Before I went back to work, I'd pump after the first morning feeding.  This is when my supply was the greatest.
