Our pedi told us with out 1st dd not to start with the sweet ones. Then she may not eat things like peas and green beans. We started with those 2 and ended with sweet potatoes and carrots for veggies then did the fruit

We got this exact same advice, and plan to follow this same order. But I'm planning to throw avocado in there, too.
Do whatever you want. I mixed it up and the only thing DD doesn't like are peas. She makes a funny face while eating them, and eats only a little, so we will try them again in a month or so. It is very important to check for allergies, DD is allergic to bananas the first food I tried. This has made it very difficult because most baby food is made with bananas.
WWe started with sweet potato and moved on to peas. She has not loved the peas but we'll keep trying. Next will be green beans, then squash and carrots. We will do a lot of veggies before thinkiong about fruit because of the sweet factor.
We started with rice and then quickly moved to oatmeal...now we started with peas...mixed in her oatmeal and she LOVES them (see picture below)
I plan on doing all the veggies to include avocado making carrots last because they are kind of sweet. Then I will move to fruits...but I will still mix the fruit with the veggies to cut the sweetness and reinforce the veggies.
