I just celebrated my nine year wedding anniversary with DH and was wondering how long people have been with their partners?

My first date with my husband was 10/18/06 (met him on the singles website, JDate) and we became engaged on 11/2/07?our first wedding anniversary will be on June 22nd. So I've been with him for just over 2-1/2 years.

Not so long, but it feels like forever. For the longest time I thought I'd never get married, much less have a baby, so I occassionally get emotional when I think of all I have.

Three years ago today I was with my ex-fiance (and we weren't even engaged yet, that only lasted 5 weeks). If memory serves, today is his birthday... and if I had married him, we'd have been divorced within a year. It's amazing how much my life has changed?for the better?and I am thankful each day.

We just celebrated out 2 year wedding anniversary. We have been together since 1990 though so we just celebrated 19 years in February. And that's faithfully BTW!

I've been with my husband for just over 11 years. Married 2 years in October.

We don't rush things Smile Although, we were living in separate states for a while.

Funny thing is, we used to be each others "hook up" back in '98-'02. It took him a LONG time to come around! He still jokes sometimes that I used to "take him home with me." Wink

My DH can actually remember the date of our first date. I have a terrible memory, but we got married Sep 29, 2002. We were actually dating for 9 months before we got engaged & then engaged for 9 months before we got married.

Wow - we are short timers! First date Aug 2006, engaged Aug 2007, married Leap Day 2008, so just shy of three years together. It feels like much longer (in a good way!).

Married on October 2, 1998, dated for 6 months before that. We just decided to elope on a whim. So its been 11 and 1/2 years total. It's crazy to think that I would do something like that, I am such a planner. Huh?

DH and I met in August of 1997, got engaged 09/05/06 and got married on 04/15/07. We moved rather slow, neither of us were in a BIG hurry to get married, we were living together already and then one day he's just like, "Why don't we make it official", I was like "Ok, sounds good to me!" LOL

We met in 2000 but didn't officially start dating until 2002. We moved in together in 2003 and got engaged in December 2005. Then we got married in May 2007. Our engagement was 1.5 years but it was my fault, I didn't have a steady job and felt like things weren't in place for us to get married. Once we were married I thought "why didn't we do it sooner?" I love being married to DH and so far so good. Like other people, I didn't know if I was ever going to marry and have kids so I've at a happy place in my life right now (knock on wood). The only thing that would make it better is more money and no debt! But money is only money, for me there are more important things in life that bring much more joy than finances.

We were also married on Leap Day 08. We started dating December of 05. We decided to get married in December of 07 on the night of our two year dating anniversary, so we planned the whole wedding in 60 days. We have been married a little over a year, and have been together about 3 1/2.
