NP(orpregnancy)R: going to the doctor's @ 3pm

thanks for the advice, ladies. ?I am getting a little concerned that this is some sort of respiratory infection---it's not a horrible cough, but it's so persistent. ?And the sore throat is still really bad. ?Hopefully he can give me something to wipe it out. ?Nine days of this is too much.?

On a stupid BOTB-ish note, IF I am pregnant, taking antibiotics is okay, right? I KNOW it is b/c I was on them a ton during my pregnancy w/ Ethan, but all much later in the pregnancy. ?::hiding head in shame at stupid question::?

not a dumb question at all! Definitely ask your dr about it. I'm glad you are going to the dr. 9 days is just way too long to suffer.

Trust the doctor. Tell him your situation (keeping all my fingers and toes crossed here) and he'll only give you what is safe.

I was on antibiotics around 8 weeks with this pregnancy, I was so sick. Obviously just mention that you might be pregnant, and they will prescribe accordingly. Feel better!

I found out I was pregnant when I finally broke down and went to my doctor about a bad sinus infection/head cold/cough. He was all prepped to give me a steroid shot when I mentioned that I was TTC and a day or so away from starting my period (which I was ADAMANT was coming). He asked me to pee in a cup to be safe. I did and he came in 15 minutes later to tell me I was pregnant!

Anyway, glad you are going to the doctor!

Just tell the doc it's a possibility. There are 3-4 diff antibiotics that are fine while pg. I wound up on a couple while pg. zpacs are ok (zythromax) and keflex, I don't remember the rest.
