What has you babies heart beat been at?

My first U/S it was at 173bmp and then last week the dopler was 169bmp. My Dr said that usually a faster heart beat means it could be a boy! Anyway what has your babies heart beat been at? Hearing that it could be a boy makes me anxious to know for sure! Of course I'd be happy with a boy or a girl but we've had so many girls in my family and my parents are hoping it's a boy!

I have always heard that boys tend to be lower and girls higher.

My daughter's was always in the 140s. This baby's hr was 143 at the first u/s (6w4d).

the emergency ultrasound told me that the heart beat was 179 bpm. I hear the hb on friday-

and heart rate doesnt matter for lower/higher to equal boy/girl. That's just an OWT-

At my 1st appt I was 6 weeks 6 days and the bpm was 138.

I won't know the sex of the baby until it's birthday but at the us the hb was 137 and with doppler at 11w4d it was 165....and the hb thing is a total owt

I kind of thought that too but makes me wonder how the heart beat can be so different! My sister had her 3rd girl this past sat and her bmp were around 120 - 140 before delivery!

164 on the first u/s

DS's always hovered around 150-160s, so i don't much stock in OWTs.

At my first u/s the heartrate was 171. The baby was measuring 8wks 2days at the time.

6 weeks - 123bpm
10 weeks - 182bpm
I've heard both versions of the OWT, boys=high and girls=high. It still amazes me how people can get so caught up in those. My sister is convienced I'm having a girl on the heartbeat alone. Crazy.

Ours was 162 at 8 weeks. We're going in for our next appt. this Monday, but won't be getting an u/s. I do hope we get to hear the HB with a doppler, though.

I thought the old wives' tale was boys' HBs are lower, whereas girls' are higher.

Every one already thinks I'm having a girl cause I had so much m/s! So mine could go either way! I just want a healthy baby! And right now I could majorly use more energy! lol

The baby's heart rate is usually doubled what your own is. That's what the Dr. told me atleast, and what the baby books say.

7 weeks it was 158bmp.

13 weeks it was 155bpm.

at 6w 6d the heart beat was 141. i heard the exact opposite about heart beat from my friends, my midwife and my OB. They said the HIGHER the heart beat the more likely you are to have a GIRL.
