Do your boobs hurt...

when you ovulate?

I googled this and I've found that tender breasts can be a sign of ovulation, but this is pain. My nipples are all red too. I haven't ovulated in 5 years so I'm pretty sure I'm gearing up to O which would be great considering I just got off BC.

    My breasts and nipples become very tender the day of O and it lasts until AF shows and it can be pretty uncomfortable, it hurts to hug DH and laying on my stomach is out of the question. Sometimes I have to wear a sports bra to bed because they wake me up when I move.

    I did not notice it, but since boobs seems to become tender anytime your hormones change, I wouldn't doubt that it might be related.

    The first cycle off BCP, I had such bad O pains that I went to the doctor, thinking it could be appendicitis (low and on the right side of my pelvis).  He ran a test, then told me very kindly that he though I was experiencing ovulation pain.  I told him I'd been able to sense O before, but I'd never felt pain like this, and he said it is not uncommon for the first ovulation after coming off BCP to be very apparent.

    So, although I didn't have pain in my bbs, I just thought I'd pass that along.  It was a doozy of an ovulation for me, and--14 days later--I got AF, so that pretty much affirmed it.  AF was no worse than usual, though.  GL!

    that is so funny... i was on bc for like 5 years and went off it it 3 weeks ago. well right before i pulled up this page i was standing at the fax machine at my office talking to somone and before i knew i had grabbed my boob!! lol it hurt so bad... the lady i was talking to just laughed at me but i was so embarassed i had to go back to my desk.

    seriously felt like fire shooting out of my nipple.Sleep

    FYI, peteysweetie, I just asked my doctor about this last week and she said primrose oil might help with the soreness.
