I feel like I'm overusing the baby food jars and pureed food, but DD only has 4 teeth, so I don't think we can go to 100% finger foods either. When did you quit buying or making baby food that you spoon-feed? Thanks!
I think it really depends on your child and what they can handle. dd was 9 mos old when she refused baby food so she ate all finger food (just what we ate at breakfast, lunch and dinner).
Depends on your child. And the number of teeth have nothing to do with it! DD1 was on baby food until 15 months becasue of texture issues, which she still has at 3.5. DD2 was off purees by 9 months.?
We were on a 100% table food at 8 months and DD had NO teeth. They don't need teeth for table food they use their gums to mash up whatever you feed them.
Re: When do I stop with the food jars and purees?
DS was on mostly finger foods by 11 months. He just didn't want mush any more.
They have pretty hard little gums. I'd give her a little more texture and see what she does with it.
