If I were a boy I would have been Christopher. My older brother was going to be Melissa if he had been a girl but they changed their mind on the girl name before I was born.
Dad really wanted to name me Annabelle and my twin sister Abagail and call us Anna and Abby, which would have been fine if our last name hadn't been Lee. Mom thought Annabelle Lee was a little too hokey.
If we had been boys we were going to be John and James.
My mom wanted to name me Rachel in the worst way, but my dad didn't like it. So I ended up Sara - which as it turns out was my great-grandmother's name.

I was nearly Caroline. While it is very pretty, I am glad they chose Colleen. I was the only Colleen in both my elementary school and my high school. I usually had one or two Caroline/Carolyns in each class.
The only thing that my parents ever told me about my name was that they picked names that could not be shortened - we have a really long last name (13 letters) and their names are ever changing (Patricia and William), I was really glad with that!

My mom wanted to name me Samatha Jo but my dad said nope she's Carly Jane. I really like my name so I'm glad my mom agreed with my dad. I think I would have been Luke had I been a boy.
I was supposed to be a boy...Dustin...kind of glad I am a girl
"Normal day, let me be aware of the treasured day you are. Let me learn from you, love you, bless you before you depart...let me hold you while I may."
If I had been a boy, I would have been Seth with the middle name to be determined b/c they couldn't agree on one. For girls, my mom wanted to name me Rachel, Rebecca, or Sara and my dad wanted to name me Summer...so they compromised and named me Amanda.
Originally I was supposed to be Laura but my mom couldn't find a mn that flowed w/ Laura so I became Rebecca. I like my name but think it's a mouthful sometimes.

At one point my mom wanted to name me Scout. ?My dad vetoed it. ?What is really funny about it is that DH was almost named Hunter. ?Mike and Julie is much better than Hunter and Scout!!
Almost an Elizabeth...but it ended up as my middle name instead. My older sis was almost Martha--LOL!! Abd little sis would've been Larry had she been a boy. What were my parents thinking??
My mom had an amnio (she was almost 37 when I was born), so they knew from early on that I was indeed a girl....and for some ridiculous reason, they called me Mildred up until the day I was born. Now, that was my Grandmother's name...and though I love her dearly, I do not love her name! Thank God they chose Meredith instead.
My dad wanted to name me Leah but my mom liked Stacey better (mom won). If I was a boy I would have been Lucas which is actually in our top 2 for boys names :-)
Laura was always the first name, but my MN was almost Lee like mom, dad & older brother. Mom thought older sister would feel out of place if she was the only one w/o Lee as a mn, so I got Suzanne instead. I like it better.
If I had been a boy it would have been Franklin Merrill after both GrandPa's NN Lin..... I'm glad I was a girl!
Older sister would have been Gregory James if she had been a boy...

My mom really liked Jessica, but my dad didn't. So they settled on Natalie or Valerie, depending on what I came out looking like. My mom had two first grade students with those names at one point, and Valerie was blonde and Natalie had really dark hair.
I came out with really dark hair...which promptly turned blonde and has never been that dark. (But both my parents have really dark hair.)
I'm glad..I like Natalie but not so much Jessica or Valerie.
If I'd been a boy, I would have been Wesley Patrick.
My mom wanted to name me Amber Nicole, but my father liked Ashlee better than Amber, and they changed the mn to Rose to honor my grandmother. My fiances name is Nicholas, and he has a sister named Amber! Boys names were Michael or Justin with mn William after my father.
If I was a boy I would have been just Dee Dee, but since I'm a girl they kept Dee Dee but gave me the formal name Deirdre.
Dee Dee? For a boy? And that would have been your full name? Really???
In Chinese it means younger brother. My mom was convinced I was a boy, until I popped out anyway. I am glad I wasn't a boy although I did meet a boy named Dee Dee in grade school.

My mom wanted to name me Meg or Vanessa. My dad wanted to name me Daphne. Blech. I am Laura instead. I used to hate my name because I thought it sounded old-fashioned, but now I really like it because I don't know many Laura's so I feel like it is fairly unique. If I was a boy, I would have been Aaron.

If I was a boy, I would have been Paul.
My mom wanted to name me Marit. I would have preferred that over Toni.
If I'd been a boy, I would have been Tony. Creative
My sister's alternate name was Monique. I think Joseph was her alt boy name. She's Tana Jo instead.
I was going to be Laura. My mom wanted it in the worst way but my dad said it was too "Little House on the Prairie."
Then they named my sister Kari...so so much for "Little House" lol.
If I was boy Kevin or Timothy (Which is now my brother's name).
I ended up an Angela by the way.

Carly or Gabrielle (Gabby). I ended up being Erin.

Kevin Richard
Kimberly Anne and Keri Lynn (we lived in a small community and two girls were born before and named Kimberly and Carrie)
Dee Dee? For a boy? And that would have been your full name? Really???
My brothers are Keith and Kevin, and I was almost Kimberly-except my dad didn't like the nn Kim. Instead, it's my mn (first name Lauren).
I was also almost Rebecca Lynn. My mom told me this after I named a doll that as a kid.
?DH is Christopher Michael but due to inaccurate ultrasounds, MIL said they thought he was going to be Amanda Kathleen. lol.?
