Loosing mucus plug and sex??

This is probably a dumb question...

After you loose your mucus plug-  is sex ok... or should you avoid sex.  I am talking both intercourse and oral (sorry!!)  Couldn't remember if it can increase risk of infection or anything??

Dx: PCOS/Amenorrhea/Anovulatory/lining problems. Clomid = BFN's. Lots of cancelled cycles due to thin lining or cysts. IUI#1= Follistim, estrace and endometrin = BFN IUI#2= Repronex, follistim, viagra suppositories and endometrin= BFN. IUI#3= Repronex, follistim, viagra suppositories, femtrace and endometrin= BFP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Isabella born in June via C-section!!!!! She is so incredible!     I don't know about infection but I keep hearing that there's something in his sperm/semen that helps get things going. ?It's the natural hormone that Pitocin supposedly mimics in an induction. ?I think we're about desperate enough to give it a try! ?

    I lost my MP at 35w1d and was hoping things would go quickly from there!

    Yup, prostaglandins and they are actually very healthy and safe to have in there and can bring on labor.

    Hey Tracy!! 24 days to go!! How are you feeling? You must be getting so excited.

    Thanks for your posts re my iui & cramps. It must have been ovulation as it stopped shortly after i posted but it was sore on the left side for like 3-4 hours. I have cramps and lower back pain now but i'm thinking that's from the endometrin. If this iui works it would be a miracle. What a mess. AND i got into a huge fight w/my dh this morning over my inlaws...it was just horrible. I'm hoping that didn't effect anything.

    Well keep me posted on your progress. I can't wait to see your new baby!! I hope you email me and let me know. These few weeks will fly by.

    From what I understand sex after you loose your mucus plug is fine and can help bring on labor.  Just don't do anything after your water breaks.  That's when there is a risk of infection.  Good luck!
