It's 90 degrees & sunny here and Cal's wearing a short-sleeved onesie to stay cool. We just went for a walk w/ him in the Ergo and although he had a sun hat on, his limbs were exposed to the sun. Our pedi advised not to use sunsreen until 6 months old. So, how else do we protect him from the sun? I hate to keep him indoors, or with longer clothing when it's so hot out. All I can think of is to rig up some kind of sheet over the Ergo.

Re: How to protect DC from sun while in carrier?
My friend uses this: https://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2302843
She loves it, says it breathable, so it's not so hot in the carrier. Good luck!
love it! now I'll be able to recognize you!

I use my nursing cover over DS when I have him in a front carrier in the sun - it works really well IMO. It lighter weight than a blanket, stays in place because of the neck strap and is the perfect size for covering his legs and arms.
If you don't have one, they are super easy to sew, I made my own using this pattern. I would bet you could even make one without a sewing machine.
Oh, great idea! I have one that a friend made for me, but I've never used. It's pretty flashy (and femmy), but it'll probably do the trick! Thanks!
