BFing in public - covering up?

I have a hooter hider, and I've tried it a couple of times at home...but DD sometimes grabs at it and I feel like I'm always adjusting it, and I have a hard time getting her under it and latched on without a boob slipping out. 

But the hardest part for me is getting my boob out of my shirt, and getting her under the cloth.

I'm going to be using it this weekend at a wedding, Is there an easy way to get my boob out, get baby under it and latched on without my boob showing?  I seem to have a hard time with it!

    I'm so not coordinated about it either, I can't keep him nursing and the boob covered at the same time. I have gone out to the car to avoid NIP. I would love to know how others do this w/o flashing the world

    When LO wasn't as mobile it wasn't so bad. As soon as she started moving her arms a lot and grabbing things it was harder. I usually would find an out of the way spot and put the cover on. Of course LO new what was coming so she started getting squirmy, but I made sure to wear loose clothing so my shirt could hide my boob too.

    If you can BF in a corner so that the walls partly hide you, that works well.

    I like the Hooter Hider b/c of the rigid neckline, but I think it's easier to cover up with a shawl that is a continuous tube of fabric that goes all around you.  I got a good shawl at Wal Mart for like $20.

    Wear layers!  I almost always wear a nursing tank under another shirt.  I think it's a little more discreet to pull up the top shirt w/o exposing any skin, then to let that shirt drop down a bit and cover the top of my boob while I unfasten the clasp and get DS latched on.  This is a little yucky, but I also like that the tank top will catch and absorb any leaking milk so that I don't end up with my top shirt all wet and milky!
