3rd Trimester

Crap... now I have a Dyson question.

DH and I have 4 cats (yes... you read that right) and we vacuum EVERY DAY just to keep the cat hair at bay. I was looking into the Dyson DC17 Animal Upright and now want to buy one. Anyone have this model??? Love? Hate?

TIA!!! :)

Re: Crap... now I have a Dyson question.

  • We have a Dyson.

I think if the building were on fire he would save it over his computer.?

  • Loading the player...
  • Have it. love it!  Wish it was a bagged vaccuum as it's a bit of a mess to dump, but not bad.  wouldn't change my mind to purchase another.  We have 1 big black lab.
  • LOVE IT!  I have to vacuum today. I have 2 golden retrievers and they shed like crazy.  I'll post pics of the all the hair it picks up.  It's great...and kinda gross when you realize how much of their hair actually gets left in the carpet.
  • I believe we have that model. I know we have an animal dyson. We love it.

  • Our close friends are both vets. They have 3 dogs and 1 cat. They have the Animal and they love it.
  • My MIL and FIL have 2 goldens and 3 cats and they have that vacuum and she loves it! Her house looks so much cleaner since they got it and she always vacuumed everyday.
  • the animal dyson is no different then the regular dyson in suction, it just has an additional animal attachment that you don't need and is not worth the money. I researched this on amazon.com and saw many reviewers say this. I had a goldenn, have a sheltie and a long haired cat, so that was 3 long haired aninmals at the time. Every other vacum we have had has broken because of all the fur, so far the dyson has held up but honestly with animal fur and dander, I would MUCH prefer a vacum with a bag.
  • My mom has that model and loves it. She (and my dad while he was alive) had every kind of vacuum you can think of and this was the only one that has kept up with multiple dogs and cats. DH and I hope to get one soon.
  • The only difference are the attachments. I have the Animal 14 (I Think) and I never use the attachments that come with it. We have 2 cats and a dog and it fills the cannister up everytime I vacuum.

It is so simple to empty, you just push a button. I empty mine in the garage so it doesn't get all the dirt and hair everywhere though.

As one of the PP siad, I would rather save my dyson than my computer too!
