Gift suggestions needed - 2 year old

One of the little girls in Playgroup is having a birthday party on Thursday. She's missed a lot of the Playgroups, so we don't really know this little girl that well. I'm at a loss as to what to get her. From the little I've seen, she has at least 15 dolls already and has so many other toys. Do you think books are too impersonal? Bath crayons or similar? I was thinking maybe Crayola sidewalk chalk, etc. but that stuff says it's for ages 3+. Suggestions?

Re: Gift suggestions needed - 2 year old

  • Last year I got my best friend's 2 year old some dress up clothes...she wanted to be a princess.  I also got her a Disney Princess Tunnel which she loves and some alphabet books.  They came in a pack of 26...one for each letter :-)

Also, you could get s fun water toy, like a crazy sprinkler!

I think books are great.  But if you'd like to get a toy, try the Melissa and Doug latch board.  It's so awesome and no little pieces to step on and lose.  I think it says ages 3 and up, but I gave it to my niece for her 2nd birthday and she loves it.
