Anyone having SIMILAC issues like me? Come on in :)

OK, baby started on ADVANCE, waaay to fussy/gassy on it.  Now we are on SENSITIVE and have been on it for 3 weeks and she just started getting gassy/fussy about 4 days ago.  Now Dr. wants us to try ISOMIL SOY, anyone have opinions/thoughts/experience here?  Thanks kindly.

  • We went from Advance to Sensitive to Alimentum (which we have been using for 2.5 months and it is a Godsend, a very very expensive Godsend).

We asked the pedi about Soy and she said no, some studies show it could have a correlation to developing a peanut allergy later and she rarely tells parents to use it.

Thanks, good advice :)  Maybe I won't do Isomil...

  • We're on Isomil and we love it.  DS had major gas and fussiness issues on every other formula... it's the only one that helped at all.  I wanted to stay milk based but soy is the only one that worked for us.  It tastes and smells better too, lol.  I was hesitant to go with soy because of all the bad press it gets and waited a long time before switching, but DS is so much happier that it's worth it for us.
