Oh no! Babysitter undid sleep training!

Last night was our first night leaving Kiran with a babysitter. ?We went to a friend's wedding. ?We left the babysitter one bottle, and told her that if Kiran woke up after going to sleep just give him the pacifier. ?We didn't go into too much detail about the sleep training, because I figured even if she cuddled him it wouldn't do much harm. ?Well, when he didn't finish his bottle at bedtime she put the rest in the fridge. ?Then when he woke up two hours later she gave him the rest of the bottle!!! ?We're starting from square -5. ?Last night he cried every two hours, and at 4 a.m. he cried for soooo long, longer than even the first day when we started sleep training. ?AAAARGGGHHH!!

Yeah, that's frustrating. It doesn't take much for DD to get off schedule either, then we have to go through 3 days of he!! before we get back on track. GL!

Dr. G, it could also be because it was the first night she put him to sleep, as opposed to you or DH. Babies can be really sensitive to a change like that. Just go back to your routine tonight and be consistent; Kiran will catch on again real fast.

Well, the good news is it should only take a day or two to get back on track. They learn fast and they UNlearn fast.
