3rd Trimester

Bouncing bouncing bouncing

Just bounced my way through the season finale of Grey's Anatomy on my yoga ball.  I'm having contractions, but they aren't painful and they aren't regular.  Come on Cole, drop for Mommy!  I just spent the last 10 minutes crying... cut me a break!  haha

Re: Bouncing bouncing bouncing

  • I hope it happens soon for you! I have been bouncing too. It's kind of fun, except after a huge meal... then it is a bad idea. lol.

I'm curious, your screen name is "Is it June yet?", but you are due in May right? I'm just being nosy. Were you married in June?

  • Yeah, I got married last June. I never changed my "knot" name.  I thought it might cause some confusion, but I couldn't figure out how to change the screen name without creating a new account.  And let's face it - I was just too lazy to do that.  hahaha

I've always wondered about that. Makes sense though. I wish I could change mine too. Very boring, but I wasn't feeling very creative when I signed up.

  • I'm a big fan of bouncing too :) It actually feels really good on my lower back these days, so even if it doesn't do much in the progress dept. for me, I'm at least getting some relief from discomfort.

  • I havent tried "bouncing" yet.. is it worth going out and buying a ball??
  • I just discovered the yoga ball during my birth class this weekend.  What a wonder it does for my hips and back!  It is so comfortable to sit on.  I am definitely getting one this week.  Our birth teacher said they are great for getting the baby in position and for coping with contractions.  If nothing else, they make for a comfy place to watch tv!

Hm... not sure I'd buy one just for baby bouncing.  haha  I had it previously for exercise.  If you'd use it after birth for exercise as well, I'd say go for it.  It wasn't expensive.
