Anyone else not have the house/nursery ready yet?

I have an entire upstairs to scrub and the nursery is still a disaster! If I have one more person tell me "You know it really could be anytime now" I'll scream! I need all 24 days I have left to get this place ready. I'M FREAKING OUT!?

Ladies, if you are in your early stages of the 3rd trimester START NOW! I wish I hadn't waited so long to start organizing and cleaning.?

We just got out the baby stuff & started prepping this week...it took a labor scare to get our butts in gear--LOL!

That would be me!! I have a few more days than you, but we still need to deep clean the entire house!! We are "picking up" things today, but my feet hurt so I need DH's help when I want to clean. The nursery is still a work in progress. There is crap everywhere!!

We're in the middle of a whole house remodel and the nursery is the storage room for everything in the rest of the house. I have a huge fear of going in for my c-s and the house still being a construction zone!

Same here! We just ordered our crib & dresser last night, it will take 1-2 weeks for delivery. Silly me thought I could walk into the store & walk out with a crib. I have a HUGE pile of baby stuff to sort & put away and now I have to wait for the furniture to get delivered. It almost caused a meltdown in BRU last night but I held it in for DH's sake!

I agree with the original posters advice- Early third tri-ers- start now!

the nursery is basically ready...we have a few more odds and ends to do but if they went undone it wouldn't bother me too much. our issue is that the rest of our house is an absolute disgusting disaster! i need to start scrubbing...instead i'm on here Smile

We haven't really started- the room is cleared out, and we're having new windows put in on Thursday. I promised myself we'd get to work on it (DH has to wire the ceiling fan and my dad has to refinish the ceiling because I want it retextured).

Then we have to paint, get the carpet either deep cleaned or replaced, clear out the closet, and set up the furniture. I keep telling DH, "the longer we wait, the less I can help and the more I'll be just standing there shouting orders- so let's get on this!!"

So much for lighting a fire under his ass. Maybe if I try to climb in to the attic myself with electrical wiring, he'll intervene and get a move on.

We're moving right before the baby's born, so we don't have anything done yet. We have most of the stuff we need now, though, but its in the storage room.

wow I thought that I was the only one not ready for the baby. We have most of the stuff set up in the nursery but we still need some odds and ends like the glider and I wanted to replace the closet door and the room door since they are horrible. I still have to put baby stuff away that I got from my two showers, still have one more shower left. we still havent put the stroller together nor did we install the car seat base. And as far as the house, we have too many things to mention, we bought a foreclosed house last year that needed alot of cosmetic work, so we are still trying to get things together.

Nothing done.....AND no way to do it. It will be a free for all when the baby comes! I just am letting it go and concentrating on having this baby cook longer.

We're not doing it until the baby is born because I'm very paranoid/anxious due to history. Induction is scheduled 3.5 weeks from now and I just today ordered our first baby item (carseat). May clean out some of the closet/dresser drawers and clutter from the room in the next couple weeks but that's it.

Nope... we're nowhere near ready! DH has to finish painting the upstairs of the house, and we have to clear boxes out of both the nursery and spare room. We ordered our furniture (it's still not here), but we still need a mattress. I figure we'll be keeping her in our room for at least the first 1-2 months, so we can still work on the nursery after she comes. It's not like she'll know the difference!

Our entire dining room is full of baby stuff (from our shower), the nursery is full of DH's crap that he needs to clean up, and our bedroom (where the baby will be at first) has a ton of my junk everywhere. We are definitely not ready.?

Oh, and his furniture won't arrive until mid-June (possibly after the baby). So as of now, we literally have nowhere to put half of his stuff except strewn about where it doesn't belong. ?

I litterally just walked out of the finished nursery! All I have to do is wash things now.

As for the rest of my house... I have been taking it a room at a time and deep cleaning. I am about to go and finish the kitchen. I reorganized all the cabinets... relined all the shelves and drawers, etc... I have been nesting like a mad woman. I am a total neat freak anyhow so I didn't think I could be any worse, but I totally am!

well #1 and #2 will share a room when #2 is about 6 months old. Until then, #2 is in our room. the room is already finished from #1, but i just pulled out all of the cltohes to sort through and dh will have to put together the swing and pnp next weekend and take out the infant seat and bases. we haven't done anything yet, just organized and cleaned out the room with all of #1's stuff to make room for #2. All the baby really needs is some clean clothes, a place for diapers and a place to sleep if you really think about it. I'm not feeling stressed over it, it'll happen when it happens you know. Relax.

I'm not ready either... my house is a disaster! the nursery is semi-ready...we just had our shower yesterday so we too have baby stuff every where! Who know's when it will get done..I've been begging FI to finish painting the nursery but he doesn't budge either!

Oh yeah, I have nothing done. My house is a mess because I'm too tired to clean and we barely have anything for the baby.
