"...She will come when she's ready..."

While, this is not what I want to hear, I do know it....What I don't know is why you are calling me for the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th time of the week, asking how I'm feeling and if she's here.

A. People don't think I'm really going to call..wtf?

B. I was miserable at 40w0d...why would it get any better at 40w3d??

C. I realize you are anxious and excited but NO one is as anxious or excited as me or dh.

D. Last but not least, you calling me is not going to make her come faster...

I think it's about time for a voicemail change! "Chloe has not arrived, and you will be the first to know, unless you call me one more time..I will be sure to put you at the bottom of the calling list. Thanks!"

    I'm getting this at 38 weeks!!!

    I log into facebook and a friend wrote "any day now" on my wall....thanks, I forgot I was very pregnant! lol

     

    If I make it to 40 I might start skewering anyone who asks...

    Yes it has been going on since the middle of my 38th week, while annoying it didn't bother me as much, just because I wasn't technically 'due' yet. Now that my 'due date' has come and gone, I'm slowly going insane. I sit at home on my ass and think about when and how I will go into labor, and what shes going to be like. She is running through my head 24/7 which makes the time go that much slower. Ah....She does have to come. Hopefully tomorrow we get good news!

    It wouldn't be driving me as crazy if my doctor hadn't told me twice that she thinks she will come at 38 weeks!!

    i am 40 weeks on thursday and am having this problem as well... every time the phone rings i cringe.. i am trying everything i can to help this baby come out walk, sex, swing, squat.....but i still get people saying things like how do you feel and did you try walking.... like serious oh no i never thought of that!!! thank god you called

    Oh, what a crappy dr. to get your hopes up!! I had a feeling she wouldn't be super early, but I never expected to go late.

    I so know what you mean.  I can't even call my mom to talk anymore without her thinking I'm calling her telling her I'm in labor.  And everywhere I go people have advice on how to induce labor.  I have tried everything and it doesn't work.  Oh and I even had a lady tell me yesterday that she tried sex and contractions started before she could finish.  I mean really did I really need to know that!!!!.

    We pulled the plug on the phone when I went more than a couple days overdue the first time and I remember just not answering it very much the second time it happened. Of course, we told close friends and family we'd do this so they didn't constantly think we were on the way to the hospital. Wink

    I'm going to steal your voice message!! We are getting the same calls, emails, texts, facebook messages ect.  Some people actually assumed he would be here on my due date too and seemed annoyed that he wasn't here yet lol.
