I am posting here b/c 2 tri is even more dead, and I am only kind of kidding.
But- I have the sweetest memories of singing Still, Still, Still to DS when he was born (in Feb.) I have been envisioning holding my girl and singing the same song but I just was thinking that it is a Christmas/winter song and that me be a little weird for a September baby- oh well I am singing it anyway I think!
Here are the lyrics, it is beautiful
Still, still, still,
One can hear the falling snow.
For all is hushed,
The world is sleeping,
Holy Star its vigil keeping.
Still, still, still,
One can hear the falling snow.
Sleep, sleep, sleep,
'Tis the eve of our Saviour's birth.
The night is peaceful all around you,
Close your eyes,
Let sleep surround you.
Sleep, sleep, sleep,
'Tis the eve of our Saviour's birth.
Dream, dream, dream,
Of the joyous day to come.
While guardian angels without number,
Watch you as you sweetly slumber.
Dream, dream, dream,
Of the joyous day to come.
Re: Boo, just realized my favorite lullaby for DS may not be appropriate for new baby!
I'm Jewish so I don't get it.
If you like it then go for it.
I LOVE that song, it's always been one of my favorite Christmas songs, along with Lo how a rose er blooming. I would sing it anyway. You might change the first verse to Still, still, still, one can hear the night wind blow, and the second to sleep, sleep, sleep, my little baby sleep...and keep the rest.
Ok, now I think I want to make that my lullabye, too! (I have been looking for one now since I found out I was pregnant...)
