I can't see myself ever actually going into labor.

in 3rd Trimester

I was induced with my son at 39 wks, and before my induction I had no BH and it took forever for me to get going on pitocin.  I think I would have gone days to weeks after my EDD if I would have waited.

This time I don't want to be induced so early b/c my experience was not so good, but I think I want to be induced on my EDD if I haven't gone before then. 

I really don't want to be induced again, but I honestly can't see myself ever actually going into labor without the help of drugs on or before my EDD.  Anyone else?

    I'm still in denial that I'm having a baby. Labour? What is this you are talking about??

    I was induced with DD and am being induced again. You will go into labor eventually maybe before your EDD b/c you are a 2nd time mom!!

    It's weird, but I feel the same way. I know it's an irrational fear, but I've heard that once your body has had pitocin it gets lazy and won't go into labor on its own. I am being induced with this one, but had a great experience last time (aside from a crazy nurse). Hoping this one is just as good.

    I'm 5 days away from my due date and I feel the same way.  I have yet to have any BH or real contractions.  I'm worried that this baby is content to just stay put.

    I'm worried about this too! My best friend just had her baby this morning and now I'm even more anxious! I'd rather not be induced, but I just have this feeling she isn't going to want to come on her own!

    I know exactly how you feel... I was induced with both my kids. I went a week past my due date. So I have a feeling this is going to be the same thing, even though I'm 2 cm dilated, and lost my mucus plug already. My body just doesn't contract on its own I guess.  Sucks cuz I was hoping I'd go into labor naturally ..... we'll have to wait and see.
