I do not want to sound ungreatful but...

in 3rd Trimester
I havent had my "surprise shower yet" and I am getting nervous that I may deliver before I have it. I apperciate that my mother and sister are throwing me a shower but I am already 36 weeks and it is not this weekend so that means that by the time I have it I will be 37, or 38 weeks. I just hoped that it would be today so that I could have a little bit of time to organize for the baby and buy things that were not purchased that we still need. at this point it would no loner be a surprise, thanks for letting me vent.

    how do you know it isn't this weekend if it is a surprise? 

    Hopefully it will be next weekend and you will still have time to organize.

    Ooh, trying to prepare for a "surprise shower"- not fun. The fun of the surprise is not preparing! Otherwise, they should have just told you all the details.

    ANYWAY- should you deliver before the shower, they'll still have it afterwards and it will be a "meet the baby" party. It happens. It's ok! Don't stress over it.

    Ok, I guess you are right thatgirlang, I just need to relax and let things be. I was just hoping that they would plan to have my shower not so late into my pregnancy.

    Can you tell your Mom & sister that you & YH are going to go baby shopping?  Tell them that you want to get X, Y, & Z.  See if they say, "oh don't buy those!"  Smile

    I know it's hard but trust me- these are the sort of things that always work out somehow, whether you stress over them or not.  Smile
