Mom, please shut up!

So I was on the phone with my mother today and she asked me what I was going to do if I went past my due date (DH and I are with his family right now and he has to report back for duty June 3rd). I told her I have an appointment on Monday and we would be talking with the doctor about it then.  She then proceeded to tell me there are things I can do to speed things up. I told her I know, I've read all about them and we are doing everything we can. Apparently that's not good enough for her. She had to tell me that I need to have sex and there are hormones in sperm...Yeah I got it mom but, shut up. I don't need to hear this from you!

    Tell your mom you're still using condoms because you don't want to get knocked up while you're still knocked up. That would shut mine up.

    It was something that a bumpie thought could happen. She thought that she could get pregnant, while still being pregnant. It hurts my brain.

    She didn't understand how siblings can be 10 or 11 months apart b/c mom gets pregnant early after the birth.  She decided it must be possible to become pregnant with another while continuing to carry the first.  That's where "I survived Irish twin day" badges come from.  I was lurking that day...very sad indeed.  She was serious, and after 10+ pages of replies she still didn't relent.

    Sorry your mom's in your business.  I have no advice, but good luck.
