All this Kate talk made me want to share this with you ladies..

I bought a Us magazine the other day to get the scoop on Jon and Kate's maritual problems. In the article it said that they get anywhere between $45,000-$75,000 per episode. I may be off just a little bit, I don't remember the numbers exactly but it was around that range. It made me sick to my stomach.. here she is out getting ugly haircuts, Jon's out banging a school teacher, they got nannies to watch their 8 kids while they are out doing these things but yet the whole world wants to hate on Octomom! -not giving Octomom any kind of credit because she's a dumbarse too but I still don't understand why Jon & Kate are given so much credit when they are just as fvcked!

I'm in complete agreement. It's two different kinds of crazy, but in the end it's the kids who will suffer and that makes me sad.

Excellent point! I hadn't thought about it. Everyone is worried about Octo-mom living off the system, but what about J&K exploiting their children?

I really think it's b/c they didnt' start out that way. The money and "fame" went to their heads. The first couple of seasons he was working and they really didn't have that big of a house for all those kids. Then they started getting more and more money. I can't blame her for going out to get her hair done - every mom and dad need time away but the affaird and how they treat each other is horrible.

yeah.. I seen the whole bash octomom point at the beginning before I knew about Jon and Kate and his affair but now it's the same to me. Octomom is home with her kids.. Jon's out sleeping around and Kate is getting her hair done and going out of town and all this stuff. I know parents have to have time to themselves as well but it just makes me wonder what happens when the cameras are turned off. If that makes sense.. lol

I do get why Octomom is viewed badly I just feel like J&K are just as bad.

i think the difference for me, while I think J&K+8 is totally marketed up the wazoo and that they're getting what you ask for when you sell out your soul, they made their own way. they didn't EXPECT help for free, they MADE their own help for themselves. they found a deal that gave them the means to take care of their kids.

Octomom, IMO, had her kids, and now feels entitled to assistance. She has her hand, or her website, out there for donations. She EXPECTS everyone to help her for free.

That's why I give one situation more credit than the other. but that's just me. flame on, if you like...

Oh I don't blame her for getting her hair done and with the amount of money they make per episode I can see where she thought it was ok to spend $250 on it but then again.. she has 8 kids and I seen on one of their episodes where they went to the grocery store and spent over $1000 on groceries and they put it on a credit card. If your making that much money why would you need to put groceries on a credit card! Maybe there is something else to it.. like they put it on the credit card and then the producers of the show pay it. ugh. maybe i'm just jealous! lol
