  The first way I thought to pronounce was Ee-shuh.

  Thanks for all the responses.   Isha is an Indian name DH likes.  Pronounced Ee-shah.  Ee-shuh is pretty close, too

   

  Can also be spelled Eesha.  I like Isha, but not if I get Eye-shah as the pronunciation..hmmmm

  I like this name too (love Isha Sherwani) -- I was always afraid people would say the "Ish" part like "fish." Looks like that's not the case, though.

  Please... no... she will spend the rest of her life pronouncing and spelling her name to everyone, all of the time. 

  Personally, I think it's a pretty name, but because of the pronounciation/spelling confusion, I would never, ever use it.

  We pronounce it Ish like Tish and uh at the end. It is a nickname, not my real name.
