I really want a cute dress for shower...

But I'm thinking its a waste of money?.... I can't seem to find one under 50 that I like.

  • Isn't there an outlet mall somewhere near Charlotte?  I found a cute black dress at the Gap outlet, it accommodates my pg belly and it was on sale for $20.

  • I recently bought 3 dresses at Motherhood Maternity. Two of them I plan on wearing to my showers. Plus, I wear them to work and church. So for me, it's not a waste of money. I wouldn't buy something to wear once.

Here's the one I'm wearing to my shower this weekend. I love it.

Really? I've seen tons of cute dresses at Old Navy, Gap, Target, Banana Republic, H&M and even Forever 21. All for less than $50.

I ordered a couple of babydoll dresses from Victoria's Secret a size larger.  One should be here in the next couple of days, I'm hoping it will work, because I haven't been able to find anything I like that isn't stupidly expensive.

  • it doesn't have to be a maternity dress, just look for empire waistlines or stretchy type fabric... there are tons out there.

Motherhood Maternity has a lot of cute dresses right now-- all of them I tried on were under $45.  It was not easy for me to find a dress that was flattering, but not too revealing, and I love what I found.  I bought this one that I plan to wear to my shower-- it was $25.

  • Try NY&Co. They have a ton right now that could work for you. I was there last night and tried on 3 that could have been the one. The one I bought was $42, but the other two were $25 and $52. And I also got a pair of gold sandals, a necklace, and earrings to match the dress--total cost was $77 and I can wear all of it after my pregnancy.
