I'm sure you are busy out of your mind right now but I was wondering how you and Tucker are doing. How did his dilation go? How are you holding up? Give us a quick update when you get a chance.
Well, turned out that our surgeon's partner sent us home by mistake on Friday so we ended up doing the dilatation on Tuesday. Tucker was AMAZING.
Since he's a year older since the last time we had to do it, we were able to talk about it on the way to the hospital and he really wasn't scared at all. He played happily until it was time to go into the OR and when I brought him in, he said to our surgeon (who I love) - "Hi Doctor. No stuck. Fix it." So freaking cute. What a smartie.
He did really well with the anestesia and for the first time, didn't have that look of terror in his eyes. They gave him a different kind this time and he rebounded really well from it. We actually stopped for a PB&J and an ice cream cone on the way home and he was back at daycare yesterday. I really couldn't believe it!
Thank God it went well. I know that you guys all understand but every time he has to have the anestesia, there is a part of me that is terrified that he won't wake up again. It's awful.
Thank goodness it's behind us now and hopefully we'll be good for at least another year!
It is so good to hear that he did so well! I love the "No stuck. Fix it." So cute!!! DH and I are laughing! I hope it lasts at least a year. As for us, we will probably have one in a month or so.
