I have until week 36 to really start worrying about her positioning but I was just curious if anyone heard of this. We did a crap load of walking around Vegas and when I went to my doctor's appt she was head down (she was breech before). My mom mentioned that it was probably all the walking I did. I've been walking every day normally but not like I did in Vegas (3 hour walks...bleh). If its true, I'll waddle every day for 3 hours to keep her down
Re: Walking helps keep baby head down?
I don't know if walking actually helps with positioning but I do get a lecture nightly from my DH (who has two kids already) that it DOES help you overall and will help you post-delivery. So every night a walking we do go.
?
I've never heard that walking keeps a baby head down.
I walk 40+ minutes every day for exercise, but I don't think it has much bearing on my baby's head down position. (I've been walking since before BFP.)
I hadn't heard it before so I'm not surprised others haven't either.
I don't think it is true at all. I am still walking about 2 miles a day ( at at 37 weeks) and my baby is now more breech than ever.
