  with a dark crib, I'd go with choice #1, the 2nd set might be too dark with a dark crib. But I like the sports stuff, so maybe you could find something that has a sports theme that's not as dark?

  The stars are better.  But I'm not a fan of over-doing the sports theme for babies.

  I vote for the sports theme only because it can last longer.  The accessories can be used even when your DS is older & doesn't want "cute" bedding anymore.
