2nd Trimester

Old Navy sizes

I know that their sizes run big in general as I've realized on my own with the non maternity clothes. But do they run even bigger in maternity?

I'm normally a small in old navy regular stuff, should I order xs in maternity clothes?

Thanks!

Re: Old Navy sizes

  • no - order small!! i'm a small too and i ordered some xs stuff and some s stuff just to check out the size. i'm normally a 2 in bottoms, but get the s in tops because i have a bigger chest. the xs shirts are really small and wouldn't fit long after the belly appears. they wld all be too short.

  • My take on ON maternity is that the sizing is intended to allow you to order your pre-pg size in the third tri, not earlier. I am definitely wearing maternity sizing from other stores but I am swimming in ON stuff. I would need a small right now and I am definitely not a small for realz- my boobs are about to be D's any minute now.

  • My old navy maternity tops didn't last well. I also noticed they are shorter than other tops I've gotten. I got medium and they fit me well, I wore small/medium before pregnancy though...
  • I have only bought one pair of capris from there and I ordered the same size that I would order regular clothes from them.
  • Thank you for your answers! I wish they just sold this stuff in the store to make our lives easier. It sounds like their sizes are all over the place. I bought small pants and had to return them because I was swimming in them. But it sounds like the small shirts would be fine on me. Maybe i'll just stick to shirts and dresses from there and skip the pants.

    Thanks again!
