but you won't eat the good stuff I make for you? What gives?!!
::sigh::
Where did I go wrong? My kid used to eat almost anything and everything given to him (except green beans and bananas - which, ironically, bananas are one of his favorites, now). I had NO trouble getting him to eat veggies, rice, pasta, meat, fish, etc. Now, the only veggies he will willingly eat are the occassional shredded carrot and the rare single green bean, he'll eat tomatoes (but technically that's a fruit). He refuses meat (unless it's hidden in something, like a toasted sandwich or spaghetti) all together, I can sometimes get him to eat scrambled egg, but not consistently. I don't make him new meals, if he refuses what is in front of him, he doesn't eat. Flame me if you want, but he's gone to bed before with having only eaten watermelon (the rest of his dinner was thrown on the floor), he drank a sippy of milk and nursed before bed, but that was the only solid food he had for dinner, and not a lot of it either.
It's not like he doesn't eat (or eats junk, I try to feed him healthfully), he LOVES fruit, he enjoys cheese (but recently is kind of hit and miss, one week, he loves mozzarella, the next, he only wants cheddar), plain yogurt, whole wheat bread, whole wheat spaghetti (just not very many other kinds of pasta), etc.
I just feel like he's bored with his regular foods, but he doesn't even want to open his mouth to taste a new food. He won't even know what it tastes like and he clamps his mouth closed and shakes his head.
::double sigh::

Re: Seriously, kid? You'll try to eat a used Q-Tip. . .
That must be stressful. I hope this isn't what's to come for us. Eating is the one non-issue we have! Eat Elijah Eat!
