DH made me dinner and it made me cry

Apparently I have  an aversion to red meat, I took one bite and can't imagine eating a whole steak.  Then my DH asked why I wasn't eating thinking it wasn't good and it is good but my body is just saying no do no eat that.  So I cried trying to tell him it is good and not to feel bad but I just can't eat it.  I feel so bad

  • Don't feel bad!  You can't help those hormones ;)  I am sure your DH understands.

  • =[ i'm sure he'll understand.

hubby made us chicken a few weeks ago and it was so good. Balsamic Vinegarette with rosemary and all sorts of other stuff. But I took 2 bites then had to spit it in the toilet. I just couldnt swallow it. I felt bad but he understood.

  • That is so sweet that he did that but...it sucks when you just cant eat it.

  • Aww, moo, I'm so sorry you feel bad! ?I'm sure your DH understands! ?If it makes you feel any better, I had aversions for about a month at the beginning of my pregnancy, but they went away! ?Maybe red meat will soon be able to work it's way back into your food repertoire! ?

  • Awe, I'm sure he understands.
  • That happened to me one night. He made chicken and I just couldn't eat it. He ate my portion and I think I had soup. There are days I just can't stomach certain foods and I have no idea why.

Also, DH doesn't like it when I cry. He tries his best to minimaze the hormonal crying that happens very often. Embarrassed

Aw Moo, we're hormone twins. I did the same thing the other night when DH cooked Turkey burgers. Hang in there, sweetie.

  • food aversions suck.   i had to turn down chicken at lunch and our shrimp for supper didn't smell good, but tasted great.   my hubby is so concerned about what to cook or shop for.  i just tell him not to worry, i will always find something to eat.  i found during the first go round that if i don't see the meat raw and or stay away while it is cooking i do okay.  but man if i saw it raw there was no way it was going in or down.  the smell of sausage use to do me in as well, but then i could go to mcd's and get a sausage mcmuffin with no problem-again didn't see it raw or being cooked.

  • Aww moo, I'm sure it's just your body saying no even though you know it's good.  I've been pondering what my aversions may be...  So far nothing.

  • Ugh.. I know what you mean!! I have had more and more aversions lately! I used to eat chicken about 3 times a week. I can't eat it anymore, don't want to see it or smell it. I have a hard time eating any meats right now and can't see greasy foods so much smell them. Don't force yourself to eat things that don't appeal. I'm trying to get my husband to understand but it's frustrating for both of us.. My dr. said it should go away after 12 or so weeks..
