So my middle sister graduates from college on Sunday. She and I are really close, she was the MOH in my wedding, we talk all the time, etc. DH and I went up to school to visit her for a weekend back in October, and even though we felt ridiculously old (I'm 27, DH is 28), we were at her sorority party, playing beer pong and cards with all her buddies and believe me, we kept up and had a great time.
So for the past 6 months she has been bugging DH and I to solidify our plans for her grad weekend, asking us to come up early, she can't wait to party with us, its gonna be awesome...blah blah blah.
So I get this call from my dad today and he says that she and my mom were talking and now sis is freaking out because she is graduating and she is getting all "my life is over" and she doesn't want DH and I up there early because we will be a "burden" and she will have to entertain us and not hang out with her friends! WTF?????? DH and I can occupy ourselves just fine, since when do we need her to go bar-hopping? Not to mention that her college is 3 hours away from us and we adjusted our work schedules to go up there early. Well Eff that little sis...now we are coming up Friday night, and leaving Sunday afternoon. Some burden.
Sorry, just needed to vent...Its a real ego killer when your sister calls you a burden...

Re: NGPR: My sister is so annoying
Ugh, that sucks. My little sister is 'special' too. She told my parents awhile back that DH and I were ttc after I specifically asked her not to tell anyone. I also got a facebook message from some girl from high school telling me good luck with ttc (heard it from my sister). We are going to her high school graduation next thursday afternoon and coming back that night. It's going to be a 7 hour round trip in one day. Shoot me now. So, I totally get where you're coming from.
Yes, that would be the ultimate! She pulls this sort of crap all the time, and rather deal with my parents (well really only my mother) telling me, Oh honey, stay home, don't ruin it for her, I might still go late.
Its like she is the only person to ever graduate college and miss her friends! GTF over it! Last time I checked there are millions of college students graduating this month, and you are no different!
I think if I go early, I'm gonna get completely blasted and by her friends all multiple rounds of shots just to piss her off.

My little sister is the same way. Changes her mind on a dime with no consideration for anyone else.
She would always bug the crap of me to come home from college because she missed me. Then I'd get home, she's like me for a day, and then want me gone. Once she even said, "Go away already, you don't live here anymore!"
