Could go either way--- I thought boy when I first saw it, but that was only next to Cael....I may have thought girl if it was by itself, like some version of Kaitlyn.
It's a boy's name. If I see it as a boy, I think, cool gaelic name. If I saw it as a girl name, I'd think "Silly American trying to use inventive spelling."

traditionally it is a gaelic male name. i think its still pronounced kay-lin though. i do know a little girl with this name but i've always thought it was odd but very fitting for her.
