Anyone who has had a D&C

Hi Girls! I had a miscarriage and passed almost everything on my own on April 9th and then had a D&C on April 13th to remove the placenta. I still have not gotten a cycle back. I hear of people ovulating within 2 weeks of a miscarriage. How long did it take you guys to get your cycle back? The waiting is killing me. I just want to feel normal again and as the doctor says,"Get back on the Husband!"

I am so sorry for your loss. It took 32 days for me to get my first AF post D&C. I am not sure how long this cycle will be but I am hoping it is around this much. It differs for most women, people usually say 4-6 weeks but sometimes it can be longer. I hope AF comes within a reasonable amount of time for you. The waiting is the hardest, but I did get a sense of feeling back to normal once AF came. Best of luck.

Sorry about your loss and having to wait. I was almost 11 weeks along when I lost my first baby and AF showed 2 or 3 days shy of 6 weeks. I know it is hard to wait because it feels hard to really move on until AF arrives but it hasn't been a month since your d&c. Most drs will say to keep waiting if it hasn't been 6 weeks. I would've called it AF didn't show by 6 weeks. I hope it arrives quickly for you and you can ttc again if that is your plan. ((hug))

It took a little bit over one month for me to get AF after the D&C, but I've heard of other people waiting much longer.

I'm sorry for your loss. It took AF 72 days to show for me after my D&C, with a prescription. I hope that she shows much faster for you.

You can see my first chart (scroll to the bottom) for the time it took to ovulate and then get my period after my first D&C. I'm still waiting to ovulate after this D&C.

It took me 5 weeks to ovulate and 7 weeks to get AF after my D&C. In comparison it took exactly 6 weeks to get AF after my natural m/c. Hope your wait goes by quickly.

I got mine 40 days after D&C...but there was no O. ?I O'd on the 2nd cycle.

Took 32 days and I was 11 weeks along at my D&C so my HCG levels were really high at the time. I was surprised it only took 32 days.

I got my first AF about 38 days after my D&E (which is similar to a D&C). I did however get a BFP before my first AF showed up (turned out to be a CP) so that may have caused it to be slightly delayed.

I got mine 28 days post D&C (a typical cycle length for me). But most people's take longer, I hope she shows up soon for you! ::AF dust::

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. You had your D&C shortly after I had mine. I had a d&c on April 8th and started my period today (32 days)! I was supposed to be 12 weeks when I found out about my miscarriage (the baby grew to 9weeks4days). Let me know if you have any other questions.
