HCG levels range dramatically between individuals. Since numbers double every 48-72 hours early in pg, the number might have ben half that just two days earlier, so even though two women may both be 5 weeks, the number would vary a lot based on when the egg implanted and HCG began to rise. Plus, some women's numbers go up faster than other. Here's info from a chart I found:
Did you ask your doctor is he/she felt the number was in the normal range? If your egg implanted just a couple of days on the earlier side, it could account for being in the higher range.
