3. What are their names and why did you pick that name? My dog is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier whom I adore, and her name is Daisy. I chose her name because it was my childhood dog's name...but it is REALLY popular right now. Her official AKC name is: Rockstaff Daisy Mae Woodard

1 dog - she is a pug mix.

Her name is Angel. When my nephew lived with us we let him name her.

2. If so, what kind and how many? 2 dogs..one yellow lab and one choc. lab/german shorthair pointer mix.
3. What are their names and why did you pick that name? We got the yellow lab first and named him MacInnis. It's the last name of one of the St. Louis Blue greatest hockey players ever-Al MacInnis. When we got our second dog Ali...so now we have Ali and MacInnis named after Al MacInnis. yes, we're dorks and huge Blues fans...well at least I am.

2. If so, what kind and how many? 2 cats from the same litter. They're practically identical.
3. What are their names and why did you pick that name? The boy is named Kipper because I think it's funny and the girl is named Polly. She was originally going to be named Corpse (and we'd call her Corey) because of the Fawlty Towers episode called The Kipper and the Corpse, but Husband nixed it. So we picked Polly, which is the name of the character played by John Cleese's wife. We call her Princess Polly Prissy Pants, which is fitting.

2. If so, what kind and how many? 2 (Beagle Mix aka Mut, and a mini-doxie a little on the plump side

3. What are their names and why did you pick that name? Copper Beagle Mut) She was named when we rescued her. Ruby (mini) we couldn't think of a name and my mom actually named her. Ruby is also my birthstone so it fit well. I am one of those people who treat their dogs like children. I call the little one the love of my life...LOL

Jiro-tuxedo cat. Japanese for second male-he was our second male pet at the time

Ronald. He was my husband's dog, named after a football player. Ellie just because I thought it was cute!

3. What are their names and why did you pick that name? Jake and Barkley. Jake is a boxer mix and we named him after a pizza restaurant...DH LOVES pizza.
Barkley is an australian cattle dog mix. He was named before we rescued him and it totally fits him.

3. What are their names and why did you pick that name? Dogs are Macy and Apollo. There was not real purpose for the names. We just liked them. The parrot is Arthur. He came with that name, but it is a good bird name.

3. What are their names and why did you pick that name? The dog's name is Joey because she looked like a baby kangaroo when she was rescued, and the cat's name is Flapjack, aka Jack, because he tends to flop around like, well, a flapjack. :-)

DH picked out the name - he thought it sounded sweet and matched her face.

3. What are their names and why did you pick that name? Our dog's name is Franklin, and we named him after the children's cartoon Franklin the turtle. The birds don't have names.

3. What are their names and why did you pick that name? Cats: Minty & Rye. Minty because she's minty fresh, and Rye was already named that when we got him and we decided to keep it. His litter was the "Grasses" litter: Pampas, Rye, Bahia, and Fescue.

I'm sure she had another name before we got her, but she is a rescue, so we had to come up with something.
I'm really late for this (didn't have internet access yesterday), but it's a fun poll, so I had to answer!

2. If so, what kind and how many? 2 Humane Society Lab/Beagle mutts.

?Gypsy and JoJo. ?We were on Petfinder.com and I fell in love w/a little beagle puppy, while DH fell in love with a puppy that looked like a minature black lab. ?It turned out they were from the same litter, so we decided to get both. ?HS picked the names for the Petfinder listing, and we thought that Gypsy fit as the name for the beagle. ?But the lab-looking dog was named Julie, which we didn't like at all. ?We spent several days trying to come up with a name that sounded good with Gypsy and finally came up with JoJo. ?

Princess: originally named Sammy and her son was Frankie (Sammy Davis Jr. & Frank Sinatra) but neither stuck, and she became Princess because she is one. (her son was Fat Boy- but he died
)
Minnie- looked like Fat Boy, but much smaller
Elfine (called elfie)- Minnie's daughter (and now my mom's cat as mom thought it was too much for me to have 3 cats *snort*). No idea where the name came from.
Zoey- shelter cat named Zena and we tried to change it to something similar sounding.
Lucy-fur- because she is the devil, also we were listening to a comedy routine and the comedian made a joke about the name lucy and lucy-fur, we thought it was fitting for our cat.
