1st Birthday Party Themes for Boys?

Any suggestions? I don't want to do anything to complicated but I wanted to do something cute.

    we're doing the 1UP mushroom from mario.  the invitations will be mario themed and his cake will have the mushroom on it.  then we'll just have bright primary colored plates and napkins.  i don't want to go too overboard/theme-y.....

    We are doing Lil' Slugger baseball theme.  It is red white and blue and baseball, he is a 4th baby and we got his name from a baseball player so it is the perfect combo for us : )

    We're doing the Safari Friends theme from 1stwishes.com. They had quite a few cute boy themes that weren't Disney characters or Dora, which is all I could find anywhere else.

    I'm not really into characters either, so we're doing a red, white and blue Phillies baseball theme. Party will be 7/12, so I figured all of the 4th of July stuff will be on sale :)

    we did a cowboy/western/bbq/hoedown type of theme. just used lots of red and western accents. it was a lot of fun

    If I had to plan it now we would go with Old MacDonald.  He LOVES the song and the animal noises.  However, since we have a while I will wait to see if there is something else he is into at that time.
