I have had a lot of left side cramping/pains.
WWYD? I am going for beta testing tomorrow and Friday. Won't know the results until I am on the 7th week.
But, I am concerned. No bleeding or anything of that sort.
*Also, when I lay down I look like I am 4 1/2 months pregnant already! Its crazy! See, last pregnancy, I hardly showed at all. I showed mostly at 32-36 weeks, then she dropped, and I hardly showed at all again. I didnt have a beautiful round bump. This makes me think twins
.
Re: In an attempt to stay calm.
The bad thing is my doctor isn't available until after the first of the year, on the 8th when my prenatal visit is.
The local walk-in clinic cannot do ultrasounds they do not have the machine.
I am wondering if I have twins honestly:
- increased lethargy/ sleepiness
- larger abdominal size
- very quick weight gain (11lbs so far and I am only 6 weeks! I only gained 22lbs last time)
Craziness.
WML.
None of those things have anything to do with twins. Even if there are two babies, they're super tiny and weigh nothing. They wouldn't cause you to gain 11 pounds.
If I am not mistaken those can be signs for twins. They don't have to be but they can be.
I know an US is the only confirmation.
Honestly, you won't know until you have your ultrasound. I had NO signs of being pregnant with twins whatsoever. My weight gain was completely normal, I only got sick once and I didn't show much earlier than other people that were pregnant with 1.
Each pregnancy is different. Just try to relax as much as possible. Hopefully being busy with the holidays will help make time go by faster for you.
Those can be signs of one baby. They can be signs of eating too much cake. They can be signs of thyroid problems. There is nothing there that screams twins.
You're only a few weeks pregnant. Regardless of how many babies are in there, your uterus is still itty bitty. The baby is barely large enough to be visible if it were outside the womb. It's not making your belly bulge out and your weight increase. You may be bloated, but that has nothing to do with how many babies you're having.
