Hey everyone, I cannot thank you enough for all your thoughts & prayers--and thanks so much Summerstarr for updating and sending me such supportive texts. It helped me a lot to know you were all praying for us 
Needless to say it has been a rough few days. I'll post more details on the birth later (kinda traumatic), but here's an update on how he's doing. Jake has had trouble breathing and as you know last night had to be bagged twice....SO scary. He's been on oxygen since and had an x-ray of his lungs last night. Even though I had been on steroids his lungs are underdeveloped and he had some fluid in his lungs. The neonatologist today said there's a 50/50 chance he'll go on the ventilator tonight. He is confident that he'll be able to get through everything though and said he should be breathing fine within a week or so. Still, I'm terrified and I hate seeing him hooked up to all the tubes and monitors, it's so scary. Please continue to keep him in your thoughts & prayers!
I never knew I could love a person so much, and everything about him is wonderful. I'm biased, but I think he's such a cute baby. Now, introducing Jake:

So glad things are looking up and the doctors are so optimistic. I am sure he will do great, but you are still in my thoughts!
You may be biased, but he is adorable! Congrats on your son and on mommyhood.

Thanks so much for the update! He is ADORABLE! If you need to talk or anything, feel free to PM me, Addie was born at just the same time, and I totally know what you are going through, and how sad it is to have to "visit" your newborn.
