Installing your Car seat?

Are you installing the baby's car seat yourselves or are you making an appt to have a certified firefighter or police officer do it for you?

    I can't find any inspection sites or certified installers in our area so we will be doing it ourselves.

    We're doing it ourselves (because we'll obviously need to know how) and then having it inspected!

    I am going to install it and then have it checked by a police officer. I am not taking chances here.

    In our area you install it yourself and can have it inspected by the police or fire department, they won't install it for you.

    DH and I did it and then had it inspected...we had it 90% right, but they gave us some pointers to enhance the safety. I definitely recommend making an appt since it's free!

    Doing it ourselves and then having it checked by the firefighters.  I want to know how in case we ever need to take it out and put it back in.

    I put the base in last week.  There is nowhere here that inspects them.

    We tried it ourselves and yesterday I had it inspected by the firefighter. ?He reinstalled it since we didn't have it tight enough.

    ?I highly recommend having someone certified look at it!!?

    We're probably going to install it ourselves, and then have FI's teacher look at it (he's in criminal justice classes, so all his teachers are police officers or retired ones).
