I use the medela steam bags when I get home from work...even though my parts are kept in my pump bag I work in an elementary school and my classroom is like a petri dish!
I've only sterilized them once since the first time. I'm going to try to keep up with once every two weeks, but I'm really not a germophobe. I wash all the parts with hot soapy water after every use.
I use hot soapy water during the day while at work. If I can't get to water, I use the clean-it cloths from Medela. Every night I steam everything but the tubes in the Medela micro bags or in a pan on the stove. I steam the tubing in the micro bags once a week.
I sterlize the horns once a day before bed. And the tubing I do once a month. And the bottles themselves I only sterilize if I leave one with milk in it too long (a day or so) in a diaper bag or something. Otherwise, the bottles I wash in hot soapy water and rinse well.?

by sterilize you mean boil, correct? (i just want to make sure because i think sometimes people are confused about this.) i only sterilized/boiled the parts once prior to using them. i just use soap and water now.
