Babies: 0 - 3 Months

I forgot my flanges!!

I am such an idiot!!  They are next to my sink at home.

I didn't realize it until I went to pump at 10:45.  I live almost an hour from work, there is no way I can go home.  I was supposed to be out until 9 tonight, I just canceled all of my plans except blood work for my surgery on Monday.  I am already full and getting sore and I have only missed one of my two pumping sessions.  I hope I can make it until I get home around 5:30.  Maybe I will try to use my hands for the 2nd session.  Sigh.  Such an idiot.

Re: I forgot my flanges!!

  • I feel for you.  I am always fearful that I will forget something that I will need.  I haven't yet but I am sure my day will come

  • You are so not an idiot! I was in the same boat last week. I sat there angrily cursing myself out for not packing it up the night before... Sigh... The trials and tribulations of working pumping moms!

  • I did this on my first day back to work, luckily there was a Babies R Us nearby so I went and boutght another set (they were like $6 ea). Now I have two sets one for work and one for home and just carry my pump inbetween. Is there a Target or Babies R Us near you that carries your type of pump that you could go run and pick some up?

  • I did this twice while DS was in the nicu - once I left the tubes at the hosp. (still attached to the hospital's pump!) and DH had to go back and get them while I unsuccessfully tried to hand express, and the other time I left the yellow valve parts at home and had to buy two whole flange sets from the hosp. LC. ?doh.

    It happens. ?Good luck!
