Sometimes I feel like if I just let him sleep he would sleep atleast 6-8 hrs straight, but I feel like I need to wake him to eat. What's the word on this?

um, we never woke him for feedings. ?he woke us. ?i've only heard people doing it if their LO isn't gaining weight, or isn't back to their birth weight. ?but assuming your LO is gaining and is past his birth weight, I'd say let him sleep.
Let him sleep and enjoy it now while you can. His sleep schedule may change someday and you'll hate that you didn't take advantage of the sleep when you could.
Thanks! I was under the impression for some reason that I needed to wake him for a feeding since I BF. I really only wake him once maybe 2 hrs into his sleep then he sleeps for 4-6 hrs after that. I'll stop this tonight and see what happens.

Our pediatrician said to just let him sleep, he will wake when he is hungry. If you are in pain from being full or worried about your supply going down you could always pump once at night. But like pp have said, enjoy the sleep!
Re: When did you stop waking LO for night time feedings?
