Recommend foam tiles type thing for play area

The two that seem the most popular are the

alphabet foam tiles:

Does anyone have either of these? Can you tell me what you like/dislike about them? Or do you use something different that you can recommend?

    I have this (https://www.onestepahead.com/catalog/product.jsp?productId=6683&cmSource=Search) and I can NOT rave about it more. It's absolutely perfect! Cushy and soft and perfect for my little guy to crawl all over. I bought two sets of the alphabet and two sets of the numbers, and covered the floor of my sun room corner-to-corner, and my little man has the whole space to explore.

    I have the skip hop tiles except that I bought them from PBK for $55.  I really like them and think they are super cute.  The only downside is that my DS loves to tear them apart and chew on the pieces.  I don't love the idea of him chewing on foam so I am constantly removing pieces from his mouth.  Other than that, they are cushy, durable and easy to clean.

    I have the skip hop playmat too and I love it= you can put it together a number of different ways (both shape and style) so it fits your space nicely.  It looks nice too, which is a big plus considering you see it as you walk through our front door.  We used a 20% coupon at BBB
