Babies: 0 - 3 Months

When did you

start bathing LO everyday? If you still aren't -- how often do you bathe LO?

It seems that the bath relaxes J so much, that it's the only way for him to get a real good night sleep.

Re: When did you

  • We still give Lil a bath every other day.  I'm not sure when to start doing it every day.  I would think when they start eating solids.  I mean, are wipes really gonna cut it?  LOL

  • We bathe DD every 2-3 days, unless she has a major blowout or something.  She gets really dry skin if we try to bathe her any more than that.

  • we started giving Liam a bath every day when he started daycare (at 13 weeks) because he stinked like the daycare when he came home each day, and i couldn't stand it!

  • I bathe DS every 2-3 days because his skin gets too dry if I do it more often. But I see what you're saying...it really relaxes my LO, too, and if it were the only way to get him to sleep, I would want to bath him every evening.

If your LO's skin doesn't get too dry, I don't see any reason why you can't just give him a quick bath before bed at night.

  • I bathe LO every 2 to 3 days. Mostly every 2 days, but every now and again I miss a day and do it on the 3rd day. I will prob start doing it every day when she starts getting messy everyday, like when she starts solids.

I never do 2 days in a row unless we go to the pool or use sunblock. Or if they are dirty.
  • We still don't.

We bath DD every 2-3 days, and our pedi is good with that.

  • thanks for the insight ladies
  • I'm only bathing her every 3ish days. She LOVES the bath, but it does dry out her skin. I can't wait until she can start playing with bath toys...she will love that.?

  • DS doesn't sleep well at night unless he has a bath.  We only use soap every other day.  So Monday he gets a full bath and then Tuesday he would only be in the water (I also don't get his head wet unless it's a soap day).  His skin doesn't dry out and he loves it.
