Parenting after a Loss

A BRU/Teething Tablets update

I just spent 90 minutes driving too and from BRU for these things and now I can't even get Lilly to take them.  It says to put 2-3 under her tongue and let dissolve.  I tried 1 at a time and she jimmies it back up to the top of her tongue, makes some faces and swallows it whole.

Sooo... the Hylands ones say I can dissolve it in water first and give it to her that way, but I also bought the Little Tummies ones and they don't say that.  I'm using the LT ones first because they don't list lactose as an ingredient.  DD is allergic to lactose and the Hylands ones have a milk sugar base.

What should I do?!

And after worrying about feeding DD at BRU, she slept the whole way there, the whole time we shopped and the whole way home.  I forgot to even look to see if they had a nursing room!

ETA: The LT tablets say they dissolve "instantly"...not even close!

Re: A BRU/Teething Tablets update

  • We use the Hylands one and I would just hold them under her tongue til they disolve, basically...after a few tries, she ended up letting me just stick them under her tongue.  Kailey's not allergic to lactose, but a friend of mines baby is, and they use these...I haven't had any experience with the LT ones though.

give her Infants Motrin.  it lasts for 6-8 hours.
  • DS lets me hold the tab under his tounge. I kinda just put it in the front of his mouth and hold it there. He sucks on my finger but the tab is under it slowly dissolving. Hmm, maybe I have humphrys?
