Babies: 9 - 12 Months

If money was no object, what double stroller would you like to have?

I admit I'm a stroller wh0re and I'm having the hardest time choosing.

Everytime I think I narrow it down, another great option pops out of nowhere.

I'm not into the Gracos, Peg Peregos, Joovys..etc?

My 3 top choices right now are:

- Bumbleride Indie Twin

- Valco Latitude for 2

- Bob Revolution Dualie (the others have lots of options that I love which the BOB lacks... lfor example, it won't take my carseat)?

?

What stroller out there do you like??

I also think they look cool so I went to check them out yesterday and one thing that worried me was how are you going to avoid the child getting their fingers in the wheels?? I put DD on the lower seat and she could reach even with the guards on. I'm assuming for older children it would be fine but not for little one :(

  • A while back, babycheapskate had a huge dicussion of double strollers.  The top 2 of over 90 replies were the Phil and Ted with doubles option and the BOB duallie (sp?).  The P and T, though-- I'm not sure if a kid would like being down low like that.  Maybe make a separate post about that on a couple boards or look online?

Oh darn, yeah that would be a problem.  I looked at baby joggers and mountain buggys and those both looked cool too.

When I was at the store yesterday I found the Baby Jogger city mini and was pleasently surprised... didn't think I'd like it but it ended up getting on the list too :)

Haven't seen a mountain buggy yet but I heard the doubles/triples are heavier then most. I'm looking forward to checking them out though because they do seem popular so there must be something to them, right??

  • i am seriously in love with the citymini....if we end up with 2 under 2 like i want, i will be getting the double version of that :-)
  • I will probably get the Baby Jogger City Elite Double. I have an older model of the single now and i LOVE it, the fold is amazing. I prefer it to the mini because of the big tires, very necessary in my neighborhood and we walk a lot. I wasn't a big walker, and i just needed a car stroller I would get the mini though. Im a big fan of the company.

I also like th P&Ts but I dont get how it works with a carseat, and this would be a must for me.

  • honestly i LOVE the kolcraft contours double - love all the different positions.  i haven't really researched any, but when looking around buy buy baby it stood out to me.  i see the P&Ts all over the place and i always feel bad for the kid underneath.

  • I have the Bob Duallie and I love it.  I use it for running and outdoorsy stuff though, not mall walking...it is much too heavy and bulky for that.

  • JARbaby has the P&T w/ double kit and loves it.  I'm with you though...first, I wouldn't want my kid down below the other one so close to the tires...what happens when they get to 4 months and want to look around..all they can see is ankles and their sibling's butt...not a good design!

  • I did lots of research and ended up loving the bumbleride or the zooper tango. I found the zooper tango on craigs list used and it's great. It's heavy, but, all of the doubles are. There's a Maclaren twin techo or something that I wish I had instead. It's so light and lovely and now that my LO is older I'd love having that!
  • Urban Mountain Buggy.  Seriously be best side-by-side double out there.  Look into it - it's fantastic!!

I have the Phil and Teds.
