Anyone here from the Rockford Area?

Hi there- my husband and I are relocating to Rockford in July and I will be 4 months along.  I just wanted to see if there was anyone out there that had any recs on OB/GYN's?  I am going to try to do some research online but I thought I'd check here too.  Also, if you know anything about the hospital there and how well you like/liked it?  Thanks so much.

    I've lived in Rockford for 5 years now and have had several OB/GYN's (mostly due to issues TTC).  I have finally ended up with, what I think is the best doc. ever, Dr. Cunningham.  I've heard really good things about his fellow practioner Dr. Trapp.  They both go through SwedishAmerican hospital which is where I'm planning on delivering in July.  I've been there for a couple other procedures plus I did my classes there and everyone was really nice.  Hope this helps you.

    I don't know a specific OB, but grew up in the Rockford area, many of my girlf friends have delivered at Swedish American, but i also know that Rockford Memorial has one of the best NeoNatal Untis in the Greater Chicagoland area.  Goodluck~!

    I have to agree with a pp that Dr. Cunningham is GREAT! I have a friend that works at Swedish American and he was the Dr. that she highly recommended. Another friend has Dr. Trapp and from what she's told me he seems like he is a little impersonal. I delivered my son at Rockford Memorial and I had Karen Boettner(pronounced Betner) I really liked her but she is a midwife. The only reason I changed was due to insurence changes. When you start looking for a pediatrician I recommend Dr. Renk or anyone else in his practice. I've heard nothing but good things about them. GL with your decision.
