Belly Bandit?

I had been meaning to order one for a while now and finally just got around to doing it this morning. I've read good things about it but was curious if any of you girls used it postpartum. I just got the original in nude since its the cheapest and will be concealed under my clothes.

Re: Belly Bandit?

  • My friend used Tauts that Brooke Burke sells and she looked amazing. I think it does the same thing. You use it a month after having the baby.

  • what is it? Sounds like something I'll probably want,  link please.  Big Smile

I'm a little slow to get it and do it. You're supposed to use it from the get go, but I was slow... I got a medium but now I'm thinking I should order a small too. We'll see. It will just be nice to have something that holds everything in though. The Bella Bands don't quite cut it for this purpose. They help, but it isn't quite enough support. I think I'm more interested in the bandit because it should help with some back support too. Breastfeeding is pretty hard on my back. My back hurt a lot in the very beginning. It has gotten better, but it is still uncomfy.

Brooke Burke is a freak of nature. She's had like 5 kids and is a size -5. I didn't know she had a belly bandit type product. It would make sense that she does though. I'll have to check it out.
  • I have a Tauts size S that I will be interchanging with a Belly Bandit starting about 3 days post-delivery. Xpecting was selling one to a very pregnant lady while I was there and said you want it pretty tight as it serves not only as support but also sort of has the same effect that a pressure bandage does on swelling. Women in just about every other country utilize something really similar (wraps, bandaging, etc) post-baby to support the back and abs as well as encourage the shape to return.  The recommendation is to buy one based off of your 7-8 mos measurements. Good luck!

  • SO's company was working with them & they are a really neat product. I'll probably pickup an original & a bamboo one over the summer so I can get into them right after she's born. The back support is supposed to be great for breastfeeding.

  • Hmm, I may have to check this out and give it a try.
  • I haven't used one one these that you buy, but I have always used a binder they give at the hospital (you may need to ask for it)  It's an elastic band (I should've looked at the item so I could compare it better before posting!) that you can wrap yourself as tight as you need as you shrink. I highly recommend them, I am a c-section Mom, and besides helping with keeping me in place, I do feel it helps me slim down faster. Out of 4 babies so far, I used it with all but #2 and I saw a significant difference. I'm off to check out the link now. :) K
  • I was told to use an ace bandage to help muscles return to their shape but the belly bandit seems more comfortable. I'm thinking I will definetely need one.

How does it look under clothes?
