I am looking for recommendations/advice re: finding reliable, safe childcare for an infant in the fall north of Boston/North Shore. Any recommendations would be tremendously appreciated...
Go on the state website that will list all licensed home providers and centers. Click up on the right to search your town(s). Then each individual listing often has hours, rates, etc. if you click.
You could always look for a nanny by using the Boston Nanny Centre! (www.bostonnanny.com). I'm a former nanny myself and now work as a placement counselor. I love the company. A lot of families are thinking about doing "nanny shares" now, too, to cut down on the cost since two families would split the nanny's hourly rate and agency fee. I'd be happy to answer any questions. 617-527-0114; I'm typically in the office Monday - Friday, 8am - 4pm (or you can email me via jennifer@bostonnanny.com).
